I enjoyed reading your webpage. I lost my 6 yr. old pug,"Pugs" almost 2 weeks ago to Lung Lobe Torsion that was misdiagnosed. I absolutely loved my Pug. My Golden/Chow mix "Teddy" and I are so sad. I miss Pugs loud breathing and his little toenails on my wood floor. I'm already researching getting another pug.I appreciate the information that you provided, and hope that I can find a match for us and our 4 cats in the future. Thanks, Marilyn Graham Ft.Worth, TX

Hi everyone at Funny Farm pugs! I came across your beautiful site and just had to compliment you on your amazing pug babies! I am owned by 2 persnickety pug princesses, Lady Lily of Moss Lake who is a 'stone colored fawn' (and she gets so many compliments on her multicolored coat too ;-) as well as Lady Lucy of Moss Lake who is solid black which a white chest. Lily is 1 year old and Lucy, our rescue/pound pug, is closer to 3.5years old. My 2 snugglepugs give you 4 paws up on your continued efforts to recognize that more than just 2 varieties of pug exist! My girls invite you to check out their websites as well! Pug Kisses, Bonnie, Lily and Lucy :-) http://www.dogster.com/dogs/483753 http://www.dogster.com/dogs/525447

He was everything to me.I was looking through this lovely site to catch a glimpse of a few pugs, and saw that amasing photo of the white pugs. I live in South Africa and have never seen one of those before.Absolutely beautiful. Does anyone know anything about breeders in South Africa ? I have read about silver and white pugs, but never thought to see one. How delighted I was to find your website!!! At present I am owned by 7 pugs, 3 black, 4 fawn. That's my motto: You haven't lived until you've been owned by a pug!" They are my babies. I love my pugs. Pugs are such a wonderful breed with their soulful little eyes, scrunched faces and bubbly personalities. I hope one day to be owned by a white and silver pug. Thank you for putting up your site to share with the world and I hope one day in the future to schedule a tour and bring home two of your adorable puggies. Vicki Kyzar, Louisiana

I would love to say that your website was absolutly wonderful!! It is very nice to have a pug breeder here in washington state! Im still amazed! I have a pug of my own, who came to be my baby 7 years ago on june 21 his first birthday! Originally Austin, name soon came to be Pudge, for all of the "excess" pudge carries! I got him for free because our pug of 13 years had just passed and I could no longer go on with out the love, and companionship a pug gives!! I would love to tell you im very interested to purchase a pug from you! I joined the army and ship off June 21st(Pudges B-day!!) and as soon as available purchase one of the kids! I again want to thank you for being in washington state and taking the time to read this! One last thing, it is so very nice to know someone, or people with the same love for pugs as i have and my family members around me!

A few weeks ago I walked by a pet store and noticed 2 beautiful black pug puppies scampering about their pen by the window. I love pugs and am looking to get a second one, so i walked in and asked to see the little black girl pug. Unpon firther inquiry the owner told me the little pug was from a farm in Saskatewan. I asked to see pictures of the parents and asked about the breeder herself. The owner had no pictures, little information about the breeder and in addition tried to convince me that pugs with ckc registration and papers were not available for this dog because a papered dog was probably inbred based on his experience. Upon further investigation I found out that this pet store owner had relocated due to cruelty to animal charges from another province. I told the pet store owner that I wanted to go see the farm where this pug was born and he asked me to leave the store and told me I was not serious about purchasing a pug and not to come back. When it comes to pugs my heart melts a little and I was disgusted that someone would try to exploit this sentiment to try and make money. I feel that Lisa and I are kindred spirits as a result of our dedication to this bread. What Lisa is doing at her farm is truely extraordinary and I want to post this story to highlight how different one breeder is from the next. Lisa is a compliment to the breed and is devoted to these animals and improving the breed in the most altruistic way, while this pet store owner is doing the opposite. Lisa - keep doing what you are doing.

i live in south africa and i have a beautifull thittle girl Gracie. she is the most absolute love of my life. her father was a black pug and her mom fawn so she has the most beautifull colors with one snow white patch on her chest. her character is something of no other dog and i certainly want more later on. dogs are usually just dogs but pugs or my angels personality is radiant and friendly. she is the biggest reason i get up in the morning cuz her personality is one that is never sad and so she will live with a mom that is always happy. her energy is non stop. one thing is for sure pugs are the breed for me

I live with three Pugs and a wonderful husband. Our first Pug arrived as my Valentine present to my husband. He was the first born in his litter and the biggest. He is a very big guy now. He is black and so full of fun it's a joy to have him here. His name is Sammy. When David is getting ready to go to work Sammy gets himself ready.Sammy runs to the kitchen, gobbles some crunchies, slurps some water then runs out the dog door to do his business. He comes flying back in to find David and stick right with him until he leaves. He's so sad when he has to stay home. We also have a fawn female named Rosie. Sammy and Rosie had a litter of 6 a year ago. There were 3 black and 3 fawn. They were so sweet and so much fun. It was hard to see them grow up and go to new homes. We did keep the fawn female named Maggie. We are very lucky that some of the pups live close enough to come for play days. I hope to be at the Pugalooza in Seattle in May.

I am a fellow breeder of AKC registered pugs too. My male shares some of the same blood lines as some of your dogs. My male is a fawn and my female is a black, they always have had puppies that are born black and turn silver as they get older. My female has no silver in her lines but my male has 3 different types of silver pugs in his lines. I think that your white pug is very pretty but was wondering about her not having a black mask, I was under the impression that all pugs must have a black mask that is clearly defined or is that just for show purposes? I am also wondering about the brindle pugs out there, I have numerous articles talking about color genetics in pugs and some other dogs. My information says that the brindle gene is not present in pugs. If anyone has any proof otherwise please contact me. Pugs of color really interest me, especially the silver grey color. I have been keeping track of the bloodlines that pugs of color share so that someday it may be of use in breeding for those rare colors since the silver gene has not yet been identified. I'd love to hear from others with pugs of color so feel free to contact me.

I am the proud mommy of an all black six month old female pug named Zoey and my husband and I love her to pieces. I was glad to see a breeder so close to where we live in hopes that some day we will be able to adopt a male. I am interested in your calender when it comes out. Thank you for a website with so much information on the best dog to own!!!

Hi Lisa. My name is Sarah and I just recently adopted Halo from Heike. I can't say enough about how much my family LOVES him! We have a 5 yr old apricot fawn female pug (Hazel) as well. We are all pug fanatics, and Halo is such a good boy, he has blended in with the family so well. He's just wonderful, and the kids and I have really enjoyed getting onto your site and seeing pictures of him as a baby since we missed that part of his life! I would love to talk with you sometime about your beautiful pugs and about Halo specifically. Thank you!

Great information and images on your site. I live in NYC which welcomes diversity in pugs as much as people and I can safely say I have not seen any white pugs, although silver and brindle are spotted from time to time! We're the proud parents of a fawn 2 year old boy named Captain Pugsy Malone who is the light of our life and a truly special companion, and regarding calendars, he was selected to be in the 2007 Page-a-Day Dog Calendar. (April 26th to be exact) The calendar is stocked at all U.S. Barnes and Nobles as well as Borders so it's exciting for friends in other parts of the country to be able to check out his published debut! I look forward to seeing your 2007 Pugs of Color edition, please advise when it's ready for purchase. Keep up the good work!

Lisa and her attributes of Funny Farm Pugs are the absolute greatest.Their love and holistic devotion to the Pug Breed shows in their animals. But most of all reflects in their adoption programs and the people, who threw their dogs will always be bonded. They can not be topped. If your considering sharing your life with one of the jewals God has blessed our earth with. Get a Pug from this Kennel! I have two.Dora and Halo ( see her photo gallery). Heike

I am a pug lover, I just love this breed. I think that the colors of pugs you have are very unique and all are so beautiful. I love how the silver and white ones look, they are truly one of a kind. I have never seen such beautiful pugs in all my life. I just wanted to tell you that you have done an outstanding job with them, and it shows. Anyone that tells you different doesn't know what they are talking about. I would feel lucky to own one of your wonderful pugs.

was fascinated looking at your lovely dogs but I am not convinced that different coloured pugs are all they are cracked up to be.The silvers look like a smutty fawn which you get when you mix black/fawn lines and the white pug has incorrect ears and muzzle but lovely dogs all the same.

I was so excited when I saw your website. I am a Pug breeder in Texas. Some of my pugs are of unusual color also. I think it's wrong for the only color choices on AKC paper work to be fawn or black. I found out about brindle pugs 1 1/2 years ago, I"ve been looking into it since then. I asked my AKC inspector about it because I was interested in having one, but I didn't want to get in trouble with AKC. He told me I should talk to the "Pug Dog Club of America" because they "more or less" set the rules for what is exceptable. I tried to contact them with a long e-mail about it and they never even responded, I thought that was rude. I have one female that I bred and kept that came out with one brindle leg, a huge black streak down her side, and black markings on her hip. She is from AKC parents, so it has to be in the pug gene naturally. I also have some pugs that you might call silver/grey that came from my crossing of a apricot fawn to a black. Some of my people think it's pretty and others have the "that's not what pugs are suppose to look like" attitude. When I visited some kennels in Oklahoma I saw some fawn pugs that were the color of a new copper penny, I thought that they were beautiful. I'm so glad to have found you !

I recieved a beautiful 9 week old pug "SWEET PEA" for a b-day gift. She has become the most important lil girl in my life. With her very expressive face and little piggie tail. How could any one not fall head over heals in love like I did. SWEET PEA is all black with only 4 white hairs on her breast bone. Wrinkles galore and the sweetest personality (as in she thinks she's people too ) Thanks for sharing your babies for all of us too coo and awe over!!!

I have always loved Pugs, they are so adoreable they make me laugh. Everyone I know gives me strange looks when I tell them what my favoite dog is, but I guess I don't understand them any more than they understand me, because I just think pugs are exceedingly cute, and it lifts my spirits just to see one. I have my husband FINALLY on board with my idea, and he is really excited to get me a Pug. However, I would like to see them in person, and I am concerned about the "origins" of the pup I would get, and you sound like a very clean, conscientious breeder. How do I go about setting an appointment up with you?

Lisa, It is wonderful to see how your Web page has grown as well as your PUG family. I can't believe how many have joined your breeding community. My two girls - Ruby and Lexi (from Lady Sophia and Pugkin's litter on 10/26/04) are truly MARVELOUS! We thoroughly enjoy watching them play (mouth) with each other. They make amusing noises and keep us in stitches. I want to bring them up to see you soon. We want to breed Lexi when she comes into heat - probably around November or December. We are thinking Sir Finnien would be a GREAT choice. Please let me know when I can come up. I have some pictures to share with you as well.

I love your website and I never Knew about Pugs of Color. Would love one of your Calendars when you get them Printed. Also will try the Food that you recommend with my Nine year old girl pug. She is a very picky eater for a Pug and I hope she likes the Ultra or by Nature brand. Maybe she will be a bit less prolific with the shedding.

I was so happy to find this web page. I have Maggie who was adopted from a family in Beaufort, SC and they said she was faded b/c they kept her outside. I've had her since March of this year, and her color has remained unchanged. She looks just like Juniper -- apricot & silver -- she's beautiful! People are always remarking on how pretty she is!

I have spent many hours researching breeders in the Washington area and just fell in love with you guys. Your love of pugs, and your true effort to raise the healthiest pugs possible is very obvious. Your pugs are beautiful! I'm not quite ready to adopt a puppy yet, but when I am I would love to adopt one of your fawn pups! I have no preference on the sex of the pup however. I just wanted to let you guys know I'm interested in adopting in the future and I am truly impressed with what I saw on your site. It's saved under my favorites!
